SHEPHERDSVILLE, Ky. (AP) — A plant that will supply seats and components to Ford Motor Co. has opened in Shepherdsville, and it's expected to create as many as 450 new jobs during the next few years.
Gov. Steve Beshear's office said in a statement that the number of expected jobs is nearly twice the 216 originally planned at Magna Seating of America's Bullitt County facility.
The statement said the company is eligible for up to $8.5 million in tax incentives.
Beshear participated in the grand opening of the 139,500-square-foot plant on Tuesday.
