AUSTIN, Texas (AP) — Former Texas Solicitor General and U.S. Senate candidate Ted Cruz has reported more than $5 million in adjusted income over the last five years.
Cruz released his tax returns Friday, which also showed he had paid more than $1.6 million in taxes.
Cruz released his tax returns after his competitor, Craig James, released his and called on everyone in the senate race to do so. Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst also released his tax returns on Friday.
The three men are the leading candidates in the race for the Republican nomination to replace Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison. She is retiring this year.
