CALGARY - Trimac Transportation Ltd. (TSX:TMA) has won a five-year contract to ship gasoline and diesel fuels for UFA Co-operative Limited.
The value of the contract is estimated to be $19 million annually and $95 million over the five-year term, the Calgary trucking operator said Friday.
The contract begins May 1 and will involve shipping fuels in northern and central Alberta with the big farm co-operative.
"We are very pleased with our expanded business partnership with UFA", said Ed Malysa, president and chief operating officer of Trimac.
"Trimac has an excellent relationship with UFA that spans nearly a decade," said Malysa.
With annual revenues of more than $2.1 billion, UFA owns businesses that include Petroleum Products and Services, Farm and Ranch Supply Stores and Wholesale Sports Outdoor Outfitters.
Trimac employs more than 1,600 people and provides Canadian domestic and international cross-border trucking and logistics services from coast to coast.
In Friday trading on the TSX, Trimac shares rose one cent to $4.25.
