MONTREAL – CAE Inc. (TSX:CAE) says its 2013-14 financial year included the sale of 48 full flight simulators, a record for the Montreal-based company.
The tally includes five recent sales worth a total of $75 million, including a Boeing 737 simulator going to Southwest Airlines and an Airbus A320 simulator going to Lufthansa Flight Training.
CAE also said Monday that it recently sold an Airbus A320 simulator to an undisclosed North American airline and a Boeing 777 simulator to an unidentified European airline and an Airbus A320 simulator to CAE’s joint venture with InterGlobe.
CAE is the world’s leading supplier of full flight simulators, which are used to train commercial airline pilots and others. It also provides a variety of other training equipment and services for the civil and military markets.
The company’s financial year ended March 31. Its financial report is expected to be released in May.
