Quebec-based Valeant said after markets closed that it is extending the deadline for its more than US$50-billion hostile takeover bid for Botox maker Allergan (NYSE:AGN) until Dec. 31. All other terms and conditions remain unchanged. The deadline had been set to extend at 5 p.m. ET Friday.
