MONCTON, N.B. – The company behind the Pizza Delight, Mikes, Scores and Baton Rouge restaurant chains said Monday that it is reviewing its strategic alternatives, including the possible sale of the company.
Imvescor Restaurant Group Inc. (TSX: IRG) has formed a special committee to review the options and make recommendations to the board.
The alternatives include the sale or privatization of the company, strategic alliances or divestitures, or other transactions.
“Over the past three years, we established a strong financial position, streamlined our operations and invigorated our brands and franchise networks,” chief executive Denis Richard said in a statement.
“Given our current profile, opportunities and industry landscape, we believe that now is the right time to review strategic alternatives.”
Imvescor also said Monday that Yves Devin has been appointed chief operating officer.
Devin was chief executive of the Societe de Transport de Montreal from 2006 to 2012 and served as general manager of Casino de Montreal before that.
