TORONTO, Nov. 4 /CNW/ - The House of Commons will vote today on private member's bill C-391, which would abolish the requirement to register long-guns, undermining the Firearms Act as a whole. Public safety groups are appalled that just a few months after Opposition parties voted to pass a Bloc Quebecois motion supporting the gun registry, today they are expected to vote in favour of bill C-391. Just weeks from the 20th anniversary of the Montreal massacre, mothers and families of the victims of gun violence are travelling to Ottawa for this historic vote.
