With an almost flawless rating, according to the bovine genetic index, and having won the two biggest dairy competitions in the world, Missy The Million Dollar Cow, was poised to reign at The Royal.
With her superior genetic make-up, 3-year old Missy's embryos and calves will continue to impact the cattle pool for years to come.
Missy was sold by Morsan Farms Ltd. based in Alberta, however, despite being purchased by tandem buyers, one in Denmark, and the other in the U.S., Missy will continue to live at her current barn, and be cared for by the farmers that raised her.
Missy is among only five dairy cows ever sold for over $1 million. In Canada, she is the second bovine to fetch the million-dollar figure.
