NIDC provides support and networking opportunities to the new immigrants by arranging workshops & awareness seminars for professional and career development and also for business and investment opportunities in Canada.
"Your continued commitment to a diverse, harmonious and multicultural Canadian society is most appreciated," says Minister Jason Kenney, Minister of Citizenship, Immigration and Multiculturalism of NIDC. "On behalf of Prime Minister Stephen Harper, I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your contributions to Canada but more importantly for the work you do for the community, which also benefits youth and seniors groups," he adds.
MPP Dr. Kuldip Kular commended the executive council consisting of Shan Padda, Gurdev Mann and Roger Nair and reiterated his own experiences upon his arrival in 1974 to Canada. He also thanked Minister Jason Kenney for being partners with the provincial government to help new Canadians to feel welcomed and at home in Canada.
NIDC is also initiating a unique APNE community center for senior and youth groups to mingle and to provide each other with the much needed social networking facilities to integrate while keeping their cultural values in their new country of choice, Canada.
