Gaz Metro fiscal 2008 net profits rise to $154.4 million from $122.8 million

MONTREAL - Gaz Metro Limited Partnership (TSX:GZM.UN), Quebec's largest natural gas distributor, reported its net profits for the 2008 fiscal year rose to $154.4 million from $122.8 million.

Revenues jumped to just under $2.2 billion from about $2 billion, the Montreal company said Wednesday.

Net earnings per unit increased to $1.28 from $1.02.
