TORONTO - The Canadian dollar closed at 93.62 cents US, up 0.84 of cent on Tuesday. The U.S. dollar stood at 106.82 cents Canadian, down 0.96 of a cent.

Pound sterling closed C$1.7540, down 1.36 cents and US$1.6420, up 0.20 of a cent.

The euro was worth C$1.5723, down 1.94 cents.
