TORONTO - Gold was quoted at C$1,160 bid (US$1,092) and C$1,161 asked (US$1,093) at the close of trading Wednesday Travelex Canada Ltd., a major gold and foreign exchange dealer.

At the close, silver was quoted at C$18.44 bid (US$17.35) and C$17.40 US ($18.47).
