Canada’s Best MBAs: Athabasca University Executive MBA

Canada‘s Best MBA Programs 2017

The Athabasca University Executive MBA

Athabasca, Alberta

Athabasca University MBA Program

Athabasca aims to provide flexible and accessible at-home learning to its students, which is why the first few months are spent accessing course materials online. Following that, students are asked to attend an in-residence week-long elective—options include traveling to Germany, Brazil, Singapore, Ireland or the U.S. to work with top companies. Those worried about the lack of networking opportunities provided by an online curriculum can attend dinners held across Canada, and engage in online student-run groups. The program offers topic-focused streams, and recently introduced a hockey-specific program in partnership with the Business of Hockey Institute, aimed at sports industry managers. Courses start in January, May and October.
