Cape Breton University MBA Program

The Shannon School of Business offers the only MBA program in North America with a specific focus on community economic development. The program is designed for students who aspire to be leaders in the public sector, community organizations, or businesses working in smaller communities in Canada and abroad. Students can choose from a range of elective topics, including public administration, peacebuilding and reconstruction, First Nations management, and international business. The program’s flexible schedule is convenient for working and remote students. Candidates can complete the program in a few different ways: full-time on campus in Sydney, Nova Scotia over one year; part-time classes on alternate weekends over two years in Toronto, Kingston, Saskatoon, Edmonton, or Whitehorse; or a one-month residency on campus in Sydney each July for three years. Classes start in January, July, and September.
