Canada’s Best MBAs: University of Fredericton Executive MBA

Canada‘s Best MBA Programs 2017

The University of Fredericton Executive MBA

Sandermoen School of Business

Fredericton, New Brunswick

This online-only university holds weekly virtual teaching sessions—“vClasses,” the school has dubbed them—that combine a lecture with group work over the web. It offers seven specializations, including two new ones this year in Human Resources and Business Analytics. The University of Fredericton was only founded in 2005, so it doesn’t have as extensive an alumni network like some older schools, but it recently hosted its first networking meet-and-greet in Toronto to allow virtual classmates to grab some face-time. Also new this year is a series of pre-MBA courses for incoming students without an undergraduate degree (or who just want a refresher on the basics of accounting, economics and more). Students can begin the program at six different points throughout the year: September, October, January, February, April or June. Doubling up on some courses (if timing allows) can trim the degree completion time from 30 months to 20.
