Beedie places a strong emphasis on teamwork, with students getting to know each other, along with their professors, at a weekend retreat in Whistler at the beginning of the program and undertaking projects in small teams. Those seeking a more continental education can opt into the second-year International America’s MBA for Executives program, in which students take their courses in intensive stints at partner schools in San Francisco, Nashville, Mexico City and Sao Paolo. Beedie also offers a three-year EMBA tailored specifically to British Columbia’s northwest region, with courses taught at local institutions in Prince Rupert, Terrace and Kitimat. Class for the regular EMBA are scheduled in full-day sessions over Friday and Saturday every other weekend starting in September.
