CB writers win gold at business press awards

CB writers do their part to shine the spotlight on Canadian journalism.

Congratulations to staff writer Jeff Beer and editor-at-large Joanna Pachner, who both won gold awards on June 7 at the Kenneth R. Wilson awards for business press journalism.

Beer was awarded the top prize in the “Best News Coverage” category for an article published in Marketing magazine on the Globe and Mail‘s redesign. Beer was a staff writer for Marketing before joining Canadian Business last December.

Pachner won gold in the “Best How-to Article or Series of How-to Articles” for a piece on sales strategy published in PROFIT.

Our colleagues at PROFIT also took home a gold for “Best One-of-a-Kind” article for their guide to opportunities  in the post-recession business climate.

Once again, hearty congratulations to all.
