Here are the government’s rankings of the leading airlines and their on-time performance for February. The federal government counts a flight as on time if it arrives within 14 minutes of schedule.
1. Alaska Airlines, 85.1 per cent
2. Hawaiian Airlines, 82.2 per cent
3. Delta Air Lines, 78.0 per cent
4. Southwest Airlines, 77.5 per cent
5. Virgin America, 76.1 per cent
6. SkyWest, 74.0 per cent
7. United Airlines, 73.6 per cent
8. American Airlines, 73.4 per cent
9. US Airways, 72.7 per cent
10. ExpressJet, 69.7 per cent
11. Spirit Airlines, 64.9 per cent
12. JetBlue Airways, 59.8 per cent
13. Frontier Airlines, 58.8 per cent
14. Envoy Air, 53.3 per cent
Total for all reporting airlines: 72.8 per cent

The department also reported American and US Airways together as 73.1 per cent. Both airlines and Envoy Air are owned by American Airlines Group Inc.
