CAE flight simulator to train Polish Air Force pilots for C295 transport planes

MONTREAL – CAE Inc. (TSX:CAE) has received $115-million worth of contracts for training equipment and services from military customers in Poland and elsewhere.

The Montreal-based company will design and build a full flight simulator for the Polish Air Force, to be delivered in 2017, to train crews for C295 transport planes.

The contract was awarded by Airbus Defence and Space, which makes the twin-engine, propeller-driven planes.

The value of the individual contract wasn’t disclosed.

The same announcement Monday included a contract extention from Germany for the Army Aviation School in Bueckeburg, a needs analysis for a German-French helicopter technical school in Fassberg, Germany, and training devices for the New Zealand Defence Force.
