The company said a drug that treats spinal muscular atrophy in infants worked in a clinical trial.

Caesars Entertainment Corp., up 46 cents to $7.36

The company agreed to sell its social and mobile gaming unit to a Chinese consortium for $4.4 billion.

First Data Corp., up 62 cents to $13.02

The electronic commerce and payment services company posted a larger profit than analysts expected.

Patriot National Inc., up $1.60 to $9.49

The provider of services to workers’ compensation insurers said it received a new buyout offer from Ebix worth about $255 million.
