ROSWELL, N.M. – Data gathered from a new flight route between Roswell and Phoenix shows steady passenger growth.
The Roswell Daily Record reports (http://bit.ly/2aOav80 ) that the route, which is run by American Airlines and its subsidiary American Eagle, hasn’t consistently met its target goal of 80 per cent flight occupancy, but it’s inching closer.
The Roswell-Chaves County Economic Development Corp. says total seat occupancy started around 50 to 60 per cent when the service started on March 2. The group says occupancy averages were regularly above 70 per cent in June and peaked at 91 per cent in the final week of July.
The development agency’s executive director, John Mulcahy, says the trend has been favourable and called the route a great success.
The agency says there are currently 14 flights on the route each week.
