TORONTO – The Canadian dollar was up 25-100ths to close at 100.70 cents U-S on Monday.
The S-and-P/T-S-X composite index lost 10.58 points to 11,860.66.
Volume at 4:15 p.m. ET was 272.88 (m) million shares, valued at $4.19 (b) billion dollars.
In New York, the Dow Jones Industrial Average closed at 13,008.53, down 29.74 points.
The Nasdaq composite index up 1.42 points at 2,957.76.
New York gold futures prices were down six dollars, 10 cents, to 1,639 dollars, 10 cents U-S an ounce on the June contract.
Oil fell 55 cents on the June contract to close at 97 dollars, 94 cents U-S.
Canola futures were lower, ranging from six dollars, 70 cents, to one dollar, 10 cents.
Western barley futures closed unchanged.
