Former Perdue Foods executive rejoining as new president

SALISBURY, Md. – The CEO of a Seaford, Delaware chicken producer and exporter has been hired to rejoin Perdue Farms Inc. as president of Perdue Foods LLC.

The Baltimore Sun (http://bsun.md/1O0njpx ) reports that the Salisbury-based company announced Thursday that Steve Evans will start his new job on May 31.

Evans has led Allen Harim Foods, a unit of South Korea’s Harim Corp., since 2013. Prior to that, Evans had been with Perdue since 1985, most recently as senior vice-president of sales and supply chain.

Perdue Foods packages and markets Perdue Farms’ poultry under the Perdue, Harvestland and Coleman Natural Foods brands.
