Grain higher, livestock higher

CHICAGO – Grain futures were higher Friday in early trading on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for March delivery was advanced 9.20 cents at $4.7240 a bushel; March corn 2 cents higher at $3.63 a bushel; May oats was up 5.20 cents at $1.8920 a bushel; while March soybeans gained 2.20 cents at $8.8340 a bushel.

Beef and pork were higher on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

April live cattle was 1.38 cents higher at $1.3943 a pound; March feeder cattle was 2.75 cents higher at $1.6373 a pound; April lean hogs gained .35 cent at $.7233 a pound.
