Grain higher, livestock higher

CHICAGO – Grain futures were higher Wednesday in early trading on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for December delivery was 2.40 cents higher $4.0040 a bushel; December corn was up 1.60 cents at $3.4120 bushel; December oats was 3.60 cents higher at $2.3320 a bushel while January soybeans gained 2.40 cents to $9.88 a bushel.

Beef and pork prices were higher on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

December live cattle was .37 cent higher at $1.0560 a pound; November feeder cattle was up .25 cent at $1.2638 pound; December lean hogs rose .58 cent to $.4708 a pound.
