Grain higher, livestock mostly higher

CHICAGO – Grain futures were higher Monday in early trading on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for December delivery was 6.40 cents higher $3.94 a bushel; December corn was up 7.60 cents at $3.4520 bushel; December oats was 3.60 cents higher at $2.04 a bushel while January soybeans gained 18 cents to $10.4540 a bushel.

Beef mixed and pork prices were higher on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

December live cattle was .28 cent lower at $1.0795 a pound; January feeder cattle was up .18 cent at $1.2478 pound; December lean gained .75 cent to $.5150 a pound.
