Grain lower and livestock higher

CHICAGO – Grain futures were lower Wednesday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for September delivery was off 3.25 cents to $5.06 a bushel; September corn was off 4 cents to 3.76 a bushel; December oats were .25 cent lower to 2.27 a bushel; while November soybeans declinedd 9.75 cents to $8.8150 bushel.

Beef and pork were higher on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange. December live cattle was up 3 cents to $1.4360 a pound; November feeder cattle gained 4.50 cents to $1.9225 a pound; while December lean hogs were .15 cent higher at $.6140 a pound.
