Grain mixed, livestock lower

CHICAGO – Grain futures were mixed Tuesday in early trading on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for September delivery was 2.50 cents lower at $5.3520 a bushel; December corn was 2.5 cents lower at $4.1840 a bushel; December oats were 3 cents lower at $2.5040 bushel; while November soybeans were 8 cents higher at 10.0740 cents a bushel.

Beef was lower and pork lower on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

October live cattle was .88 cent lower at $1.4798 a pound; August feeder cattle was 2.55 cents lower at $2.1378 a pound; October lean hogs fell .38 cent to $.6258 a pound.
