Grain lower on the CBOT, beef and pork higher on the CME

CHICAGO – Grain futures were lower Wednesday in early trading on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for March delivery was .5 cent lower at $4.7125 a bushel; March corn off .01 cent at $3.6525 a bushel; March oats were 4.50 cents lower at $2.2050 a bushel; while March soybeans lost 2 cents to 8.8350 a bushel.

Beef and pork were higher the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

February live cattle was 2.90 cents higher at $1.3470 a pound; March feeder cattle was 3.70 cents higher at $1.5960 a pound; February lean hogs gained .055 cent to $.5740 a pound.
