Grain lower, livestock higher

CHICAGO – Grain futures were lower Thursday in early trading on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for May delivery was unchanged at $5.19 a bushel; May corn was 2 cents lower at $3.93 a bushel; May oats were unchanged at $2.8225 a bushel; while May soybeans lost 2.75 cents to $9.76 a bushel.

Beef was higher and pork was higher on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

June live cattle was .03 cent higher $1.5240 a pound; May feeder cattle was .28 cent higher at $2.1625 a pound; June lean hogs gained .80 cent to $.7540 a pound.
