Grain mostly higher, livestock mostly lower

CHICAGO – Grain futures were mostly higher Tuesday in early trading on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for December delivery was 4.25 cents higher at $5.1220 a bushel; December corn was 3 cents higher ower at $3.7940 a bushel; December oats were 1 cents higher at $2.2340 a bushel; while January soybeans were 1.50 cents higher at 8.8040 a bushel.

Beef lower and pork mixed on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

December live cattle was .45 cent lower at $1.4123 a pound; January feeder cattle was .48 cent lower at $1.8275 a pound; December lean hogs gained .50 cent to $.5873 a pound.
