Las Vegas Review-Journal sold for second time in year for undisclosed price

LAS VEGAS, Nev. – The Las Vegas Review-Journal says it’s been sold less than a year after New Media Investment Group bought it for $102.5 million.

The state’s largest newspaper reported Thursday that News + Media Capital, LLC bought the newspaper and its affiliated publications for an undisclosed sum. A letter sent from the publisher to the newspaper’s employees identifies the private company as News + Media Capital Group, LLC.

News + Media Capital Group, LLC appears to have been incorporated in Delaware on Sept. 21.

The newspaper reports that New Media’s operating subsidiary Gatehouse Media LLC would continue to run the publication.

Las Vegas Review-Journal publisher Jason Taylor did not return a call and email seeking more information.

Stephens Media LLC sold the Review-Journal to New Media Investment Group in February.
