Molina Healthcare and Seagate skid, Amazon surges

Molina Healthcare Inc., down $12.46 to $51.76

The health insurer cut its guidance because of problems including higher medical care costs in some states and costs from rapid growth.

Nasdaq Inc., up $57.59 to $659.59

The e-commerce giant said revenue jumped 28 per cent in the first quarter, and it turned a far bigger profit than analysts expected.

Expedia Inc., up $8.78 to $115.77

The online travel company reported a bigger adjusted profit and greater sales than expected

Monster Beverage Corp., up $16.38 to $144.22

The energy drink company’s results surpassed analyst estimates. It also said it will buy back $2 billion of its own stock.

TiVo Inc., up 56 cents to $9.98

The digital video recording company agreed to be bought by digital TV listing company Rovi for about $1.1 billion.

Groupon Inc., down 81 cents to $3.62

The daily deals site’s first-quarter results met expectations, but investors remained concerned about the health of its business.

Gilead Sciences Inc., down $8.79 to $88.21

The biotech drugmaker’s results were hurt by big discounts and rebates on its costly hepatitis C medicines.

Seagate Technology Inc., down $5.13 to $21.77

The electronic storage company’s quarterly profit fell short of Wall Street estimates.
