TORONTO – Mood Media Corp. has partnered with TripAdvisor to put the travel website’s content on digital signs for use in hotels and other hospitality venues.
Mood Media said Thursday that content from TripAdvisor includes real-time user reviews, ratings, photos and recommendations for local attractions.
Terms of the deal weren’t made public.
Mood Media (TSX:MM) said it will market the new digital signage with TripAdvisor content as “MVision Travel.”
“By providing local, user-based travel information via the trusted TripAdvisor platform, we will help our clients deliver a more fulfilling experience for their guests,” Mood chairman and CEO Lorne Abony said in a news release.
Mood serves more than 7,000 hotel clients around the world with music, messaging, digital signage, scent and sound system services.
Among Mood Media’s best-known acquisitions was Muzak Holdings LLC in May 2011, which provides music services to customers.
Last year, Mood Media made several acquisitions, including DMX Holdings, which provides multi-sensory branding services.
