Yamana Gold Inc. (TSX:YRI). Miner. Down 25 cents, or 7.06 per cent, to $3.29 on 10.1 million shares.

Kinross Gold Corp. (TSX:K). Miner. Down three cents, or 0.88 per cent, to $3.38 on 9.7 million shares.

Bombardier Inc. (TSX:BBD.B). Aerospace, rail equipment. Up three cents, or 3.90 per cent, to 80 cents on 9.4 million shares.

Barrick Gold Corp. (TSX:ABX). Miner. Down $1.02, or 6.15 per cent, to $15.57 on 9.1 million shares.

Fortis Inc. (TSX:FTS). Utilities. Down $4.24, or 10.25 per cent, to $37.14 on 7.1 million shares. Fortis Inc. has a friendly US$11.3-billion deal to buy U.S. electric transmission company ITC, an acquisition that extends the Newfoundland-based utility company’s already vast reach south of the border. The proposed agreement includes US$6.9 billion in cash and stock and US$4.4 billion in assumed debt. Shareholders in ITC would have a 27 per cent stake in the combined company.
