Canadian Pacific Railway (TSX:CP). Transportation. Down $1.38, or 0.73 per cent, to $188.57 on 743,703 shares. Canadian Pacific Railway Ltd. chugged past a weak economy in the first quarter, reporting an increase in profits and raising its dividend by more than 40 per cent to 50 cents per share. For its first quarter, the company said it earned $540 million or $3.51 per diluted share, up from a profit of $320 million or $1.92 per diluted share a year ago.
