Kinross Gold Corp. (TSX:K). Miner. Down 15 cents, or 2.22 per cent, to $6.60 on 8.4 million shares.
Twin Butte Energy Ltd. (TSX:TBE). Oil and gas. Up 1.5 cents, or 27.27 per cent, to seven cents on 7.6 million shares.
First Quantum Minerals Ltd. (TSX:FM). Miner. Down 55 cents, or 5.99 per cent, to $8.63 on 6.9 million shares.

Transcontinental Inc. (TSX:TCL.A). Publishing. Down $1.89, or 9.86 per cent, to $17.28 on 568,235 shares. In its second quarter earnings released Friday, Transcontinental reported that net earnings fell by 93 per cent to $5.4 million. The company attributed that to a large gain last year from the sale of its consumer magazines, the reversal of pension plan provisions and an impairment charge this year related to its newspapers in the Atlantic provinces. Excluding those items, Transcontinental’s adjusted earnings fell by 12.5 per cent to $34.2 million while its revenue edged up to $497.2 million from $490.5 million.
