Whiting Petroleum Corp., down $7.48 to $30.91

The oil and gas company priced a public offering of 35 million shares at $30 apiece, below the stock’s previous closing price.

McCormick & Co., up $1.92 to $75.12

The spices and seasonings company reported better-than-expected fiscal first-quarter financial results and a positive outlook.

Freeport-McMoRan Inc., down 15 cents to $19.18

The mining company slashed its dividend by about 84 per cent to 5 cents per share, citing the impact of lower commodity prices.


Sonus Networks Inc., down $4.46 to $8.70

The network communications company slashed its first-quarter outlook and is looking for ways to trim costs because of delays in orders.

Digital Ally Inc., up $1.48 to $14.05

The video and image surveillance equipment maker reported an adjusted quarterly profit and expects improvement in revenue.

HD Supply Holdings Inc., up $1.37 to $30.77

The industrial distributor reported better-than-expected quarterly earnings.

Highpower International Inc., down 80 cents to $4.48

The China-based rechargeable battery maker reported mixed fourth-quarter results and a weak outlook for 2015.

Career Education Corp., down 47 cents to $5.07

The for-profit college operator’s chief financial officer is resigning to take a position with a retail analytics company.
