PricewaterhouseCoopers hires former Ontario premier Dalton McGuinty as adviser

TORONTO – Former Ontario premier Dalton McGuinty has been hired as an adviser by business consultants PrincewaterhouseCoopers.

The company, also known as PwC, said in a release Wednesday that McGuinty is joining the firm as senior adviser for markets and industries.

He will work in the company’s Toronto office and provide “strategic advice” to clients.

McGuinty served as premier from 2003 until he stepped down about two years ago amid a firestorm over the Liberal government’s decision to cancel two natural gas plants.

He represented the riding of Ottawa South for 23 years.
