CityNews is reporting that TD was the victim of a cyberattack on Thursday. As a result, customers experienced difficulty accessing their accounts online.
Online and Internet services were affected by a distributed-denial-of-service attack, which prevented customers from accessing online banking and Internet services, spokeswoman Barbara Timmins told CityNews in an email.
The attack overwhelms and floods the servers with so many requests that people trying to access the site legitimately can’t.
