Under Armour, GM and Devon Energy skid, Demandware climbs

NEW YORK, N.Y. – Stocks that moved substantially or traded heavily Wednesday:

Demandware Inc., up $26.82 to $74.81 agreed to buy the online retail services company for $75 per share, or $2.85 billion.

Michael Kors Holdings Ltd., up $2.83 to $45.55

The retailer said strong online sales and new store locations helped give a big boost to its fiscal fourth-quarter revenue.

Under Armour Inc., down $1.48 to $36.25

The athletic apparel maker cut its sales projections, saying the liquidation of retailer Sports Authority will hurt its revenue.

General Motors Co., down $1.06 to $30.22

Monthly reports suggest U.S. auto sales may have peaked, and GM said its sales dropped 18 per cent.

Devon Energy Corp., up 6 cents to $36.15

Oil prices and shares of energy companies fell after some discouraging manufacturing reports from China.

Cracker Barrel Old Country Store Inc., up $12.74 to $164.22

The restaurant chain reported strong quarterly results and raised its annual forecasts.

Zoe’s Kitchen Inc., up 12 cents to $37.04

The Mediterranean food chain increased its estimate for annual revenue following solid first-quarter results.

Nike Inc., down 29 cents to $54.93

Analysts downgraded the athletic apparel company, saying its sales may slow down.
