NEW YORK, N.Y. – U.S. stock indexes are little changed in early trading as the market comes off a string of record closes.
The Standard & Poor’s 500 index was flat at 2,037 as of 9:35 a.m. Eastern time Tuesday.
The Dow Jones industrial average slipped eight points, less than 0.1 per cent, to 17,604.
The Nasdaq composite lost three points, or 0.1 per cent, to 4,648.
The S&P 500 has closed at record highs four times straight, and has had 39 record closes so far this year.
Bond prices held steady. The yield on the 10-year Treasury note was flat at 2.36 per cent.
