At the International Startup Festival’s “Nothing Ventured, Nothing Gained” session, BDC Venture Capital’s Senia Rapisarda said Canadian entrepreneurs are less ambitious than their American counterparts. Entrepreneur and angel investor Dave McClure moderated the panel, which also included Renee DiResta (O’Reilly AlphaTech Ventures), Roger Chabra (Rho Canada Ventures) and Ian Jeffrey (FounderFuel). PROFIT’s Mira Shenker talked to Rapisarda after the session, and she said “Canadian entrepreneurs have been a little bit too coy, either accepting exit prices that are a little too low, or not coming back for more.”
