The HEC Montréal MBA
HEC Montréal
Montreal, Quebec
#3 on the 2017 CB Reputation Index
The school offers a generalist MBA program, but provides a number of elective courses to cater to individual students’ interests, including entrepreneurship and international management. For students with a science and engineering bent, HEC offers a joint MBA and innovation and technology commercialization degree, in partnership with the engineering faculty at Polytechnique Montréal. Students in that program learn how to structure and lead tech development projects, and how to maximize the benefits of commercialization. The school has introduced the HEC Challenge, where students work in teams to complete a consulting project for a specific organization. MBA students also participate in a three-week immersion into global business cultures; this year, they’ll visit India, Dubai and China. Full-time students start class in May, while part-timers start at the end of April.
New this year! HEC has consolidated the director positions for the MBA and EMBA programs into a single role to better facilitate the transfer of teaching and content innovations
