The Vancouver Island University MBA
Nanaimo, British Columbia
Through Vancouver Island University’s dual-degree program, students earn an MBA as well as a master of science in international management from England’s University of Hertfordshire. (There is also a single-degree MBA program.) There is no GMAT requirement, and the school provides a supportive environment for candidates who do not have a business background by providing a foundation program before regular classes start. Students finish their degree with specialization courses. In addition, some complete a four-month internship along with a written report, usually about the company sponsoring the work placement. Classes begin in either July or September.
New this year! VIU has opened the World Health Innovation Network, led by Dr. Anne Snowdon, which works to help the adoption of new technologies and systems in medicine in Canada and the U.S.
