Gastown has long been a tourist hotspot, but business in the historic district took an innovative turn this past decade. Startups like HootSuite, now likely worth a billion dollars, blossomed blocks from the famous steam clock, emitting a mist of talent that settled over the neighbourhood in the fast fashion of the industry to which it belongs.
