Sony posted a cryptic teaser last night on its PlayStation website and social media pages. Little context was provided, save a single line, “See the future,” and a date: Feb. 20 at 6 p.m. But of course everyone’s best guess is that the company is finally ready to announce its long-awaited PlayStation 4, which many speculate will be released late this year alongside the new Xbox—but neither has been officially announced.
IGN contacted Sony about the teaser, but, predictably, couldn’t find out much. Only that the event on Feb. 20 will be held in New York City, and that “The PlayStation meeting will be about the future of the PlayStation business.” Well, duh.
